Our Services

Kuleana Care works with parents to develop research based programming based on the individual needs of your child. Our center based ABA therapy programs are comprehensive to include communication, behavior, play, social and self-care skills. All programs are developed and supervised by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and services are provided by highly trained staff in Applied Behavior Analysis.

Center-Based Services

Kuleana Care has a highly skilled and passionate team of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) who use your child’s interests and motivators to deliver intensive and individualized, 1:1 ABA Therapy, anywhere from 5-30 hours per week, as determined through comprehensive behavior assessments.

Direct assessments, observations, and parent interviews are important factors in the identification of applicable and functional ABA treatment goals. Every client's ABA Treatment Plan and program is supervised and monitored by a BCBA to ensure accurate ABA implementation with fidelity. Approximately every 6 months, your child’s comprehensive ABA Treatment Plan will be re-assessed, reviewed, and modified (with parent input) to reflect the ever-changing needs of your child.

Our therapists provide immediate and high reinforcement such as toys, bubbles, food, or whatever the client likes, in order to support and improve your child’s communication and social skills. As client’s make progress and improvements on their goals, edibles and toys are faded to natural reinforcers (high fives, praise, etc.) in order to maintain the responses. Once a client has a skill in their repertoire, staff will work with the client to generalize those skills and behaviors across settings and people. Our goal is to make learning these skills fun for everyone involved.

Parent / Caregiver Training

As part of our ABA Treatment Plans, parent/caregiver training is offered for at least two 45 minute sessions per month. A Behavior Analyst or Behavior Analyst Assistant will be the one providing the training. Training includes updates about your child’s progress with ABA treatment, learning about basic ABA principles that you can implement within the home and community settings, as well as troubleshooting behaviors that are happening within the home setting.

Emergency Responder Training

Our executive director, Crystal Rollins has developed a comprehension training program for emergency responders on Autism risk management. Each training is tailored to your organization and specific needs. Children on the Autism Spectrum are 7 times more likely than their typical peers to have an encounter with Law Enforcement by age 18. This course will cover signs/symptoms of Autism, the 3 biggest dangers for those with Autism and how emergency responders can help, and ideas to form a safer and more inclusive community.

Please contact Crystal Rollins at [email protected] to learn more about our emergency responder trainings.

Our Approach

Every client’s program is tailored to meet his/her individual needs and skills and monitored closely with data by our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA).
